That looks great! But I gotta ask about the blue tarp…. not something I’ve ever come across on a US vehicle before…

I just wanted something visually different. Going with the "idea" they were out training, someone grabbed a blue tarp from their personal vehicle before heading out and they throw their stuff on it instead of just throwing it on the dirt. It's something I picked up from another builder somewhere as well. They liked to add something different to a build to catch your eye.

Just let the CO or First Sergeant see it

Very non tactical. Not saying that such things don’t happen, but commanders tend to pitch a fit when they see such things. The further you are away from command staff, the better chance you have of getting away with it.
Now an air ID VS-17 panel on the other hand is quite normal to see… take your pick, fluorescent red or fluorescent orange…

Nice!! I built that same kit and I loved it. I'll have to check out that Value Gear. The one thing that I couldn't get was a backboard for it. It really needs to be on there. All the pics I've seen have at least one backboard on there.

Nice Mike! I have a 1/32 Revell EC-135 that has a couple of backboards in it. I was actually considering stealing one and seeing if the scale was fairly close that wouldnt look too odd. If it does, I could always try to make one out of milliput and see how it turns out. I agree though, it needs the backboard or a Stokes somewhere.

Mike, for your cargo nets on top, did you make those yourself? As for Value Gear, the owner Steve Munsell is a great dude! I may even reach out to him to see if he could make a backboard.

The cargo nets are photoetch. I'll have to see if I can remember where I got them.
