I'm getting low on both Micro Set and Micro Sol and I love both products. Now I'm curious about AK Interactive Decal Adapter Solution. Has anyone used this product? I have been debating on getting this in place of Micro Set and Sol.

Never tried that one. I have, like you, use the Micro Sol/Set. I have Ammo's Decal Set/Fix and it's ok. Not as good as the Micro stuff.

I'm too scared to change. The old Micro stuff has been working for 30 years

Same, I've only used micro set/sol I've never had any major problems with it.

I used the square bottle Testors decal set ages ago, but don’t remember anything good or bad about it. My current alternative when Micro Sol & Set is not right for the job is Walthers Solvaset. That stuff works great, but must be used sparingly.

Carlos, that just about describes my experiences too. I still use the square bottle Testors and find the Micro Sol to be a bit hotter while Solvaset is what I use on the really stubborn decals. And speaking of decals, I learned that white vinegar will remove decals that are fully set and finished. It takes a bit of patience to get it off and this effort was over enamel; acrylic paint might not stand up to the scrubbing/rubbing. Ymmv.

Hmm... I'll restock on Micro Set & Sol since AK Interactive Decal Adapter Solution is $10 for a single bottle. Cheaper buying the Set and Sol instead.

If only Microset and -sol would come, not only with built-in brushes in the cap but more stable bottles, then I would probably start using them again.

I simply don't like the unpractical bottle (I guess most of us know why :giggles: ) and then the need of a separate brush.

Therefore I use decal setting solution Tamiyas Mark Fit (both strenghts) and Mr Mark, with built-in brushes.

I'm very satisfied with Tamiyas decal setting solutions

Just watched a YouTube video reviews on different decal solutions. Only two got failed results (aside from the homemade batch of white vinegar and water) - AK Interactive Decal Adapter Solution and the little square bottle Testors decal setting solution.

Tamiya Mark Fit Softener and Mark Fit (Strong) and Mr. Mark Setter / Softer had high praises.
