Here's a tip I learned for masking difficult areas. It's kind of pricey to do this way but works AWESOME. Use bare metal foil and then trim it where you want. That way you will see exactly where the seems are. Far far easier than tape. And it usually won't lift paint. usually
That thought briefly crossed my mind. Briefly. Most of what I have is hit-or-miss with adhesion. My bigger problem is getting a good edge and seal on thongs like the two color seats.

I got bored with the aircraft builds I have going on. Went back to this one, that has been stalled for abit. I could get the front seats to look okay. These are not "great" nor are the perfect, but I am happy with them for not. Tamiya Bright Red and Tamiya Pure White in the spray cans. Bare Metal Foil used for the chrome parts.

Where's the progress on this one at Lyle? This is the one you were talking about the other day that you were having trouble with painting the two separate trim panels on the seat. Did you ever strip it and go for the super light coats yet?

Hey, Joe. It is stuffed back in the box. I'll get back to it at some poing. I really love the '57s and want this one to be the best I can do it.

You funny! I do appreciate the encouragement. I only have 14 other items started (not counting the shelf of doom/someday stuff). I want to get the Hurricane, Sopwith Camel and a couple of others taken care of. I am on the hook to provide a few items to the Bullitt County History Museum, if you can believe that.

If Bullitt County museum could pay with Bullitt Bourbon, I'll gladly help out :giggles:
