Lyle, all I can say is that you’ve mastered filling and sanding on this project. You’re doing great!

Thanks, Carlos.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: Williams Brothers Curtis C-46 Commando
You're certainly knocking this beast into shape Lyle!

Re: Williams Brothers Curtis C-46 Commando
Whew! I think she is ready for the Alclad gloss black primer/base.....
I used the Duplicolor Primer/Filler on this since I had already obliterated about 100% of the body detail. It caused the ever popular Krylon Black to wrinkle on one side only of the windscreen. No biggie.
My plan is to . . .well I don't have a real plan to do any panel lines. I suck at rescribing. I've tried it and it jst doesn't seem to work for me. I need a lot more practice and I don't want to do it on this one. I will likely try to do some panel color by changing the Alclad colors around some.
This is a big ol' girl even in 1/72! Wouldn't a 1/32 be fun?

Wow this looks really smooth.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Re: Williams Brothers Curtis C-46 Commando
Looks better and better now Lyle. You’ve got this. Like Conan’s Wheel of Pain, this model will make you stronger….
and yes these are big birds…. just a tad bit larger than a B-17 in both length & wingspan, and has a good 50% more capacity than a C-47. I would love one in 1/48, but the days of affordable 1/48 large aircraft kits went away with Monogram…
