Re: Williams Brothers Curtis C-46 Commando
Looking forward to this one Lyle. I've seen these kits built up into some very good builds. Lotsa cool additions going into this one too.
Re: Williams Brothers Curtis C-46 Commando
Thanks, Joe. Got one wing attached to the center section, filled and sanded....
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Later, probably tomorrow. Pam has a Dr. appt this morning, and I have to get the taxes done...hate doing that.

Okay, Joe...here are some pics...
a Great Lakes a friend built. Got to fly it with him a couple of times. Fun.

My Dusty
The step on the starboard underside. The way the molded the nacelles with the wierd angles is quite disconcerting.
After my fixes on the starboard side. Some bit of clean up and primer needed.
Port side shimmed up and ready to go

The bottom pic wasn’t as bad as it looks...not pushed together. Moving on. Wings are on and mostly done.
Sounds strange, especially to me, but this and the boat have been far more enjoyable than they should.

Those are some fun gaps and steps... reminds me of the monogram 1/48 B-17 though.

That's often the way, of the three kits I'm building, the modern Hobbyboss Tomcat is the least enjoyable. Sometimes a challenging build can be more fun and rewarding.LyleW wrote:...Sounds strange, especially to me, but this and the boat have been far more enjoyable than they should.
