1/20 Tamiya McLaren MP4/7 Honda

Post by keavdog »

Just getting started on this one. Ayrton Senna's mount. I picked it up on ebay and it includes the Marlboro decals.
Sprue shots of this beautiful Tamiya kit!

Nicely detailed engine/transmission

Not a lot done, but I started.

The body is a pretty thick plastic with a fantastic finish. One of those I'd consider just glossing. I'll have to put the optivisor on and look it over in detail but wow.

Image

The kit motor was to plasticy looking so I shot it with Tamiya semigloss black and did a bit of detailing - more to come

Thanks,
John

I am so envious of you guys that build these and the bikes. Too much fiddle-faddle for my abilities..

Off to a great start!

:hmm: Man I do love the looks and lines of those racers… pure speed design!

One of the best race cars ever built with the GOAT behind the steering wheel.

This is interesting and quite a rare kit with the Marlboro decals! Bring it on!

I'm sure. Of course we can't have those decals because that would make us all start smoking.
Hmm. Maybe I'll tell my wife I can't do laundry because I really want to eat the pods :giggles:
