Looks great! Building a car/truck with a full frame and building a rolling chassis is fun. Unibody frames not so much. Even those kits that have the frame molded on to the body pan sucks in my opinion. I built the Revell Bronco a bit ago and it had the separate frame. It's so much more satisfying as a modeler.
Thanks,
John

I agree 100%. I love doing rolling chassis on a model kit. I never understood why they never do it anymore. Makes painting and detailing easier than dealing with a molded floor and frame.

Not much progress but I got the manifold assembly together and air cleaner dry fitted and decaled. I need to apply a coat of clear to seal it in. Tomorrow, I'll start painting the engine block.

I'm still waiting word from Joe if he has stock rear bumper and rear tail lights for me.

You are moving in the right direction! Onward.

Can't see pics yet but only because I'm at work. Glad you found a tail gate for it. I sanded the FOOSE lettering off of mine and applied a F O R D decal that I had in the spares. Looking forward to checking your pics out.

I had thought of doing that but got lazy and put out a feeler if anybody had spare tailgates over at modelcarsmag forums. Ended up getting two versions - plain one and with F O R D molded in.

Nice job on that frame Tom. One of the things that I like most about this kit is the ability to go totally pro street with it. I brought my 4 link set up inside the frame, shortened the coil overs and mounted the tops of them inside the frame as well and narrowed the rear end substantially to get those big "meats" under the fender of mine. Just a note for you if you ever want to pro street one of these to the max brother.

Slow going. Decanted Testors Extreme Lacquer Root Beer Metallic and airbrushed the cab, bed, firewall, and among other tidbits. Waiting for it to dry and cure before applying a nice gloss clearcoat. Maybe this weekend. Engine is done though. Pics forthcoming….
