While the paint is drying on the GT350 Mustang, I decided to jump on the Revell FD-100 Ford truck kit and started some work on it - engine, roof to cab, and other minor bits and bobs. Pics forthcoming.....

Last progress update for the night. As much I don't like Foose creations or his show, this kit came with tailgate with "FOOSE" stamped on it. I asked around for a replacement tailgate over at modelcarsmag forums. and recieved two different tailgate for the F-100 Ford - plain and one with FORD stamped on it. Fits perfectly!

Is there something that doesn't exist in the world of model car replacement parts?

LOL! No aftermarket parts. Anyone who builds car kits always have spares. Parts never used but can come in handy for other car kits.

Hate the tail lights on the bumper in this kit. Looking for stock tail lights for left and right side and stock bumper for the ‘53Ford F-100.

Did I mention I hate Chris Foose designs? :bored: :giggles:

Ah, ok. Still surprising that it actually fits that well!

As long it's the same scale, it'll fit. Most American made car spare parts will fit in any scale - 1/24 or 1/25 scale - except Tamiya import auto kits.. I used to pirate different rims, tires, air cleaners, floor stick shifts, valve covers, roll cages, seats, etc... in my younger years. It's still rings true to all auto kit builders to this day.

I'm still looking for rear tail light (right &left sides) and stock rear bumper though.
