Very nice! I forgot that the angle deck Essex class carriers were still in service in the mid 70’s.

Nice looking model, John. I was soooo disappointed when Vought and the USN destroyed the F-8 and turned it into that short little ugly, uh, stepchild.

Looks great. Unlike the other John, I'm very fond of the A7 and have built a couple and have the 1/48 hasegawa kit in the stash. Also big fan of the F8 John - I've always like those gaping mouth intake jets.
