Boeing 314 Clipper (1/144 Airfix)

Well if you talking about a Golden Age of aviation GB, you can't not have a flying boat - probably the most adventurous form of passanger travel next to an Airship or a Merchant Steamer. Besides, just a few more weeks to go and I'll be living a 100 yards from the beach, and in sight of a WWII flying boat base - so I can't not build one.

One of the most famous flying boats is the Boeing 314 Clipper...

I've ordered the old Airfix 1/144 kit for this build - it should be here soon

Cheers!

Excellent choice Stuart!

The Pan Am Clippers always make me think of this… a bygone era of overseas air travel

That rocks Stuart! I've always wanted one of those in 1/72 scale.

That would be nice to see Mark, it would go well with the Sunderland I have.

Really, That's awesome - I've seen a Sunderland in a Museum but I'd love to see some of these big flying boats on the water.
