1/32 scale Lindbergh 1915 Model T Coupelet

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I had finished this the weekend I returned from Ottawa.

It's a fun & challenging build. Only 4 inches long 2 inches wide. The frame was warped and I didn't want to chance straightening it in hot water due the delicate frame. So yeah.... it looks lopped sided on one side. Typical Lindberg kit I suppose... :bored:

LOL! Good one. :giggles:

I did forget to mention one thing. It had gold chrome sprue tree. ICK!!!!

There’s no way to touch up the snipped/trimmed spots on the parts once off the sprues. I opt to simply strip it all in bleach and airbrush it using Tamiya Gold Leaf instead. Good enough for me.

I know, right!? There are 1/24 scale kits of these early automobiles of the 1900s. I've got an eye on a couple I've been wanting to do. Hopefully, I'll find something at the upcoming Syrcon 34 this October.

I do have the 1/72 scale WW1 Pigeon bus in my stash though.

Interesting kit! Well done, too. These have always intrigued me and usually beat me down pretty hard. Good work.

I sure like it! Nice little car! I am also looking forward to you starting that pigeon bus. It's the only Roden 1/72 scale bus I don't have!

The car turned out pretty dang good and it's a great subject Tom. Sucks about the warpage issues but I hear ya....sometimes that's a lot of work to fix.
