Scale: 1:48
Aircraft: Republic P-47D Thunderbolt “Razorback”
Kit Mfg: Tamiya
Subject: Lt. Col Luther Richmond’s “Sweetie”
Cockpit is done, and entombed in the fuselage. Fuselage sealed, wings attached. It’ll be time for primer and paint soon. Also included is some gear bay action.I used several different shades of zinc chromate for those. I’ve been trying to keep little spaces like that from being boring.
Progress continues, more updates forthcoming.

That's a great start! Keep 'em comin'!
Re: Sweetie
hey, pal! Glad you brought this over! Great work. You haven't "lost" a thing.....
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: Sweetie
Hi guys and thank you so much for the kind words. Thank you for the kind welcome back, too.
Job change, growing children, pandemic weirdness, taking up guitar to help cope with the pandemic weirdness, miscellaneous bullshit… it all kinda threw a monkey wrench into things over the last year or two. Guitar helps a lot. It’s good to be back to building models again (again, Again, AGAIN) though. Really hoping I can model consistently this time around. Gonna try real, real hard. My goal is to do one or two things on the model(s) every day.
