Hey guys, I found a Stinson L-5 in 1/48 scale for $5.00! I am stoked.

Of course, it is a paper model.....wah, wah, wah. But what is coming to mind is using some of the extra thin plasticard and perhaps gluing the paper to the plasti-card. Who knows.

And from the "dumb idea" department...

I wonder if you could use an L-4 or something for the fuselage and then take this as a pattern to make a tail section?

Need more coffee.

The L-5 fuselage has a much larger cross section than the L-4, Lyle. If you print the paper parts on 60 pound bond it will work pretty well. I built a paper Tiger Moth and was surprised how well it worked.
My modelling website, with build logs.

And that is how I get into such messes!

Just don’t take a paper model out to play when it’s raining and you’ll be fine.

When you don’t have many options, you have to go with what you can get. :headslap:

I’ll print it with a color laser, so it won’t run.

Where can I find this? So far, no luck.
