Stuart, best to sand off the guns and replace them, they should be parallel with the ground, not with the dihedral of the wing. Many P-47 kits have had that fault.

Love the Jug. Definitely watching.

So some progress - It's certainly a big beast....
Time to mask it up and get painting!

Thanks for the kind comments Gents.
Thanks for pointing that out John. On this build I'll probably just ignore it but I'll keep an eye out on future Jug builds.

So I might be going in a diff direction with this build. I still want to build the Turtle, but I really fancy building an SEAC camo bird.
So I picked this sheet up from Hannants.

I’ll definitely be watching for this. The Jug looks so good in RAF SEAC camo!

So whilst painting up the bits of the Buffalo today, I dug out the Monogram Thunderbolt I was working on and started painting it up - with brushes this time - with Humbrol and Hataka acrylics.
Cheers!

That's a fine looking camouflage job Stuart. Brush painting is very therapeutic I have found. While I'll probably never again paint an entire aircraft exterior with a brush... I will definitely try to incorporate more brush painting into my current and future builds...
