I'm thinking an F-100 and an F-102A, need to get some century series jets done. The only one I have in the display case now is an F-101B.
John, the F-102 was the only Monogram Century Series kit that was post merger. The Hun, Voodoo, Zipper, Thud, and Dart were all released pre merger, so any one of those will do.

Decisions, decisions. Probably my F-106 and OA-4M
But also have the 1/72 F-16XL
Stik I have the the A/B-26C Invader kit. Says monogram on box but Scalemates says new tool was 1993
Sadly, the Invader is also a no go for the Familia on this run due to its post merger date. The rest are fine TJ.

You guys are killing me - why oh why didn't you start this before I started the Thunderbolt!
I have nooooooooo Monogram kits in the stash, so I'll have to see if I can source something - I'm thinking P-40B or similar, maybe even a
(shudder) Black Widow - then I'd actually have all the main USAAF WWII Fighters in 1/48. Lets see how far the pennies stretch!

I suppose this means the F8 crusader is a no go as well -- not that I was planning on doing one...

Apparently so. I thought that it was older than ‘88, but it looks to be from that year.

I had no idea the 102 was post merger. Well, then, instead of the 102 I'll do the P-51B, kit number PA*136-100, in the original first issue! Here's the kit, and also a model I built from that very same boxing in 1967. You will note the left wing root has suffered some damage, it flew too close to a light bulb when hanging from the ceiling in the early 70's.

John, My 10 year old is working on that very model right now. It was so cool watching him mask and pain the ID stripes himself after giving him some direction. I think my LHS has a few of those P-51B's still available from there last 'stash buy'. They also have like 10 or 15 of the 1/72 Monogram P-51B's

Well, going back to the roots, it as build two original mold Monogram kits within a six month timespan
Don Stik, It may make things a bit more interesting if you could change that to allow a single completion of the 2 or 4 engine variety. Let's face it, a Monogram B-17G or F-14A requires quite a bit more effort than a 109E. Just a suggestion, I'm not trying to get whacked..

Six months to build one of the two or four engine bombers or transports is a bit too easy. If you stay straight OOB, and have plenty of bench time, two of those can be done in that timespan. Conversely, somebody could easily build a couple of their old 1/72 single engine prop driven fighters in a week.
