I will be building it piloted by 2nd Lt. George Welch, 47th Pursuit Sqn., 15th Pursuit Group, Wheeler Field, Oahu, Hawaii - December 7th 1941

Spent a while making sure I have the paint colors indeed for this build. Don't have US Compass Grey at all. Ran out of it a year or so ago.

Since they are Humbrol color call outs, two colors kinda stumped me

Khaki Drill - not alternative paint for this one but it's definitely not Khaki Drab. :nono:


Interior Green - this particular color is neither green nor yellow zinc chromate. Definitely not RAF or US Interior Green. More darker than all of them.
It looks more like Khaki. :hmm:

After reading the reviews and seeing this kit's seat has zero visible seat harness, I decided to make my own. I found a YouTube video on how to make my own. Here are the results...

Nice. I have this one in the stash. Love the scratch seat belts. I have decided to make my own where needed from now on as well. Super effort.
