So broke down today and bought the Tamiya 109G-6 in 1/48th scale. This is not a complaint, but I am a bit bewildered that for $40 , with all the bells and whistles they included, you can't position the elevators -- just a one piece horizontal stab. Kinda makes me scratch my head... Other than that, looks like an amazingly fun build for the near future...

I’ve started reviewing unanswered threads, found this one! I’m not current on what’s available in quarter scale for WWII aircraft, I’m assuming quite a lot of kits are out, but Tamiya usually trumps the rest in terms of ease of assembly, but not always in accuracy. Did this ever find its way to your bench?

Not yet! It's trying to muscle it's way in. But it's like a fat man trying to get into an already over-crowded elevator/life :giggles:

Haha, of course! A good analogy!
