Alex's Sea Fury

Post by jeaton01 »

Here is one that my grandson Alex and I built, the 1/48 Hobbycraft Sea Fury. A simple kit made more difficult by the usual poor instructions, but decent fit and surface detail. Alex did a lot of the work on this one, with some help from me on masking and decals, and I finished up the little details. At the bottom is Alex at work on his next model, a Testors 1/48 Bearcat.

That's pretty sharp work for a young lad! Very well done indeed. :shoutout:

And, he's a cowboy, gotta like that!

I love that "wild rag" he's got tied 'round his neck! Now, that's old-school cowboy!

Well done Alex!

Nice job! I did that kit a year ago or so. Great looking airplane and a very nice build.
Thanks,

Thanks, All! Alex does a lot of the work, but grandpa does some stuff that makes sure he has a model he can be proud of. Gradually I make him do more. With the Bearcat I hope to have him do most by himself, if he goofs I have more Bearcat kits to practice on.
