I’m jealous of the fact you found it! Too bad it won’t fit in place.

Well done, Tom, and save that life raft, you'll need it somewhere else.

I did. I've got a little bin filled with extra aircraft parts. You never know what you need for spares. Plus, I'm willing b to.part with any if someone is seeking spare parts. Did the same with auto kit parts.

I remember my first introduction to stencils as a kid when I bought the Monogram 1/48 phantoms (USAF and NAVY versions). I thought those were to coolest darn things. Remember trying to read them all with a mag glass. Made the model seem real to me... Still think they are cool!

:P1:

Although I don’t recall which kit was my first where I started using the stencil decals…. :hmm:

Well I was just guessing... :hmm: although I am pretty sure I am right... It could have been the Monogram F-15... don't recall the F-14 having a ton of stencils...

Do you have any 1/72 scale aircraft? I need horizontal tail pieces for a Grumman Duck. I started two and couldn't finish either because vital parts went on walkabout.

Everything is looking fantastic! Keep it coming!

Never did the Grumman Duck but I sure love to build one. Anything in 1/72 scale I have are from the Vipers and the Phantom. The rest are 1/48 scale parts.

That paint work turned out fantastically well over that pre-shaded groundwork Tom. Sorry to hear about the part that went "click-click-click....ZING!!". Been there too many times. I can't say I blame you on not applying the stencils BUT you can always chalk it up to the fact that this isn't the original paint job. I'm sure the folks who operated as well as those who worked on them knew that they were ridiculous and were more than happy to see them painted over.

Beautiful progress so far brother.

Thank you for letting me know about the parts. I'll just have to keep looking around.
