Thank you Stuart! I do with that Italeri had gone with “link & length” tracks like they did on their Tigers. Their vinyl ones are just so stiff to work with.

Today was another day of good progress...

in the morning I airbrushed Dark Yellow onto all the previously bare tan plastic areas that needed the color...

then after letting that dry a few hours, I airbrushed on the Red Brown and Olive Green camouflage pattern colors

Next up is a gloss coat tomorrow to get this ready for decals...

great job on the camo
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks! I still have several more steps ahead,,, gloss coat, markings, painting all the detail items, flat coat, stowage bits, final weathering…

The side plates? Yes I believe so. At least out of the factory. But they were often removed in the field by the crews for maintenance purposes, and left off. Photos show many Panthers without them. The famous Köln Cathedral Panther did not have them at the time of the duel with the Pershing.

Oh those... forgot about them... :headslap: Yes, those were standard over the engine deck grills.
