Yes,Calvin and Hobbs had quite a few modeling cartoons,all their stuff was classic,still got so.e of their compilation books from the 90's

Some funny dioramas
there was one at a show I went to of a bomber ground crew spraying/post-shading the panel lines of their plane - caption was something like 'hurry up and get these panel lines sprayed before the general gets here'. I've looked and looked but can't find a pic of it. It was really well done.
