Re: Black CA glue
I think that is the stuff. But, I don’t feel too good today, so…….
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: Black CA glue
Thats what I bought. Waiting for the de-bonder to arrive so I haven't tried it. Bob Smith stuff is good.
Thanks,
John

What's the big deal about black super glue anyway?
Pretty sure I saw the stuff at Michigan Toy Soldier a few weeks ago. Expensive. I bought black super glue several years ago, it went bad super fast, before I even used it once. Don't think it was from BSI though... have not tried BSI.

Re: Black CA glue
jkim has demonstrated some awesome filling capability using black ca and debonder. I tried this on my Italeri hawk and the debonder attacked the plastic so try it on sprue first. The hawk is on the shelf of doom
Thanks,
John

Re: Black CA glue
CA glue is best kept in the freezer. Lasts much better.

Re: Black CA glue
I tried that at my last home where I had a garage fridge and didn’t notice any real extension of the shelf life of my CA glues.

Re: Black CA glue
Black super glue seems to work much better at small gap filling for me than a lot of other things. It's also good for when you screw up rescribing a panel line.

Re: Black CA glue
I buy thin and thick CA in 8 ounce bottles and it lasts for years, I use a lot in R/C model construction. But I mispoke, it's not in the freezer, just in the refrigerator. Maybe it will work better in AZStikpusher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 10:45 am I tried that at my last home where I had a garage fridge and didn’t notice any real extension of the shelf life of my CA glues.
