The good old paint mule. Although I think it's time to pitch that thing. It's gotten way too many layers of paint on it.
Thanks guys! The right airbrush for the job works wonders!
Got to decals today. Most of which are done, aside from a few on the landing gear. The instructions are not very clear on placement, so I'm going to wait until the gear is assembled, which should make it easier to figure out exactly where they go.
Mircoset, and microsol for the win. Those insignia are huge, and had to lay down over some pretty big details. I was sweating it for a bit, wondering if I was going to have to rip them off then attempt to paint them. Let them dry for several hours and they laid down rather nicely. Still a few little wrinkles, but I'm okay with that.
Decals themselves weren't too bad. I did tear a few of them. They took forever to loosen from the backing. Which was quite annoying. Might be able to finish this up on Sunday.

Looking good. Might have to start calling you Speed-build-Alice though...

I would love to be able to make that kind of quick progress. This really looks good!

Well the time on it is thanks in part to the kit for going together well. Parts were a bit fiddly, and the instructions really lacked in some areas, but there was no fit issues to really speak of. Barely any putty, sand, prime, repeat. So that sped the process up.
I managed to screw up last night. I sight my impatience as the problem. Once I get near the finish line I lose all patience what so ever, and for some reason get hell bent on finishing. I guess I just get excited to see the end result. This lovely flaw of mine causes me to forget stuff. Like the damn horizontal bulk head that sits in front of the turret. I realized it after I had already put the turret in, glued the canopy in place, and installed the antenna wire. Told myself, alright that is a tomorrow problem.
Thought about it a bit and decided my best course of action was to take a hobby knife and pop one side of the canopy off, and see if I could slide the piece in place under it. Which was successful. Problem solved.
