Slow progress tonight. Sanded areas with linear pencil sander to remove glue from seams. Still need to fill in gaps where joints were not flushed.

Assembled the torpedo and glued a couple minor pieces to undersides of wings.

I did notice the torpedo also has slot hole for the stand if torpedo was to be installed. I got to thinking… this changes how to mount a released torpedo from stand and aircraft.

My thought… torpedo in slight angle n stand

Clear sprue from bottom of fuselage to top of torpedo

A bigger question is will the stand hold everything without the possibility of everything tipping over.

I’ve been experimenting in making my own prop blurs using clear film sheets. I have one of those bladed compass and it worked perfectly. Now I’ve got to figure how to create a blur from the propellers on the film sheet. First experiment is airbrush 3 blurs on the circles using clear smoke mixed with a drop or two of black.

You got a lot going on with this one.

Rockets painted...

Wanna know how I did perfect white bands on rocket tips?
Easy...

Overall rocket color is Bronze green. (I used RLM 71 which is a close match)

Dip the tips in a shallow pool of flat white. Let dry.

Next, dip the tips again LIGHTLY in bronze green. Perfect white bands.

Undersides and rocket rails. I used Sky "Type S"

Since I'm displaying this as in flight, the pilot and rear gunner are painted.

Thank you, Lyle. Hopefully tonight - if I’m not too tired or busy, rockets install to rails, topside painted dark grey, paint the tail wheel tire & canopy frames painted.

If those get done tonight, I’ll start masking for the green camo.

Good job on painting the weapons and the crew figures Tom! :shoutout:

Camo scheme is done. I may go back and fix some of the green camo in a couple spots. They looked too narrow for my liking….
