1/72 scale Airfix Bristol Beaufighter TFX by Craft Master

Post by BlackSheep214 »

My sister found this at a thrift shop and gave it to me as a Christmas gift last year. According to Scalemates, the kit is from year 1963. Everything is complete since she knows what to look for.

The kit...

Low part count...

Decal sheet looks shot. Not sure if they're usable.

Instruction guide... only 3 steps.

That should be an afternoon build project, and another day or so of painting... Simplicity exemplified!

Cool subject. I like those twin engine British fighter/bombers. Being an old boxing, hopefully it goes together well. Love the instructions.

I've decided to build this as wheels up in flight since it came with a stand. Here's she is after step one...

Neat!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I'm thinking of displaying this one with center torpedo being released. I have a couple ideas how to do it...

Super chilled magnet levitation should do it. Or thin clear line. I'd go with the magnet deal.

Very nice! I built this kit a good few years back IIRC I replaced the engines/Corinthians bottom cannon ports with resin AM parts.
