HUMA 1/72 Me P.1101

Post by speedgraflex »

I think up next will be something very special—a rare kit from HUMA of Germany, possibly the finest individual designer working in styrene at that scale. According to fellow SPA Modeler member Marius after the owner died in the 1990s his widow never sold the molds he made and keeps them in her cellar even now. His kits feature injection molded parts done as finely as photo etched brass. So! This will be a rare treat. One of the rarest kits ever. I hope to do it justice.

Oh, wow!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Oh yes, the plastic kits made by Mr. Huhn are considered legends within the German modeling scene. He did things back in the 90's with his one-man-shop that even big Tamiya couldn't do in injection molding. One of those old fusspots. May he rest in peace.

Bruce, have fun with this glorious kit!

P.S.: Did the Flettner 282 back in 2014:

I didn't realize they were so well made. I have the HUMA Fw 44 kit.
My modelling website, with build logs.

Is this the swing wing experimental aircraft? This sounds like an interesting project. :hmm:
