WW2 Fighters Tamiya HAS NOT produced yet...

Post by cbaltrin »

It just hit me that Tamiya has not produced a F6F or a P-39 yet. They just have to be on the drawing board somewhere. Man , that would be sweet...

They also haven’t made a P-40, a Typhoon or Tempest, or any Soviet fighters…

Good Call on the P-40! That would also be tremendously awesome. I was thinking mostly of US a/c though (no offense to Stuart :giggles: )

Being that Eduard has these, and both are pretty decent, we'll probably never see this.

What I'd like to see is Tamiya downsize the P-38

And make a Beaufort in 48th. Can't be that hard to modify Beaufighter

No that's fine, it's not like the UK produced any decent fighters in WWII or anything. :tease:

A Tamiya P-40 would be must have kit, especailly if it was anything other than a B. Mind you, a really nice P-80 or P-59 would be equally awesome.

I don't think that is a factor. I mean, why did Tamiya come out with a other 109g6 a few years ago?

When you think about it, Tamiya’s line of 1/48 fighters is rather restrained compared to other companies. A few variants of some major types, amd that’s about it…
Plus a few Italeri reboxes.

Eduard is coming out with a new tool P-40 soon. I think they're starting with an "E".
