Oh for the love of Pete....
I'm telling you this damn thing doesn't want to get built - I was removing the crappy front chin windows so I could replace them with PVA after paint - which came out okay btw - when I caught the edge of the instrument panel, which promptly fell off and into the cockpit
Sufficed to say I've walked away, otherwise I might unleash my inner Calvin.
I think I may walk away from this one for a while and SOD the GB. I'll probably be able to remove the windscreen and reseat the IP (that's a maybe, as I glued it in with TET not PVA), but I really can't be arsed right now. I think I'll box it up and stick it back out in the shed until I feel like taking it up again.
Where's a Tamiya kit when you need one.

I'm thinking, once I've calmed down, that I might be able to remove the windscreen and sort it out that way.

Hang in there Buddy, I work on one of the twelve I have in the works and bonce around as I see fit, it does feel good to have finish the two so far, it still looks good Stuart!

Sorry to hear this. I'm sort of not surprised you had issues with Italeri kits. Oh well maybe next time. Maybe you should've got the Minicraft or Zvezda kit instead.

Go with the removing the windscreen. That way you can fair the windscreen in better after you fix the instrument panel.

Agreed Tom, I'm really feeling the need for a Tamiya kit right about now...BlackSheep214 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 7:39 pm Sorry to hear this. I'm sort of not surprised you had issues with Italeri kits. Oh well maybe next time. Maybe you should've got the Minicraft or Zvezda kit instead.

I'll give it a go - the clear parts were a bloody awful fit on this kit - hence trying to remove the nose chin windows.Medicman71 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:54 am Go with the removing the windscreen. That way you can fair the windscreen in better after you fix the instrument panel.
