I have to apologize on this next post. I started dressing up the neck section, but forgot to take a "before" picture.

This is all I got, but you can see that the details were sparse compared to the studio model. To make this neck section, these parts get combined.

Again, the studio target:

With this update, I had to scratch numerous pieces and dig more in the donor kits I've been using, but was able to come up with this:

I decided it was time to check how some of this would handle primer. I had picked up some stynlrez primer.

Wanting to see how it well it would air brush anyway (and several others watching with me too), I shoosted some on:

In my opinion, it went on very well and I would recommend it.

Moving on to the mid section, I ran into yet another problem. The transition from the head to the mid section of the kit was far too small on the kit. There is another John Player Special part spanning this hump that didn't line up nearly as it does on the studio model, so I made a new hump:

Afterwards, the alignment was much better, so I started the detailing.

Now, I am by no means knowledgeable about anything to do with the Battlestar Galactica, but that looks closer to the studio model to me.

Back to the engine section, I started doing a little sumthin' on the side walls. This involved replicating a couple more ROCO tanks.

And here's where I'm headed:

Here's how that ended up.

Now, just a note. I have replaced all the tread I mentioned earlier.

This post should about catch this up to the point I am in the build most recently. This update was the engine section which also turned out to need a bit of work to get it where I wanted it. The top and bottom sections of the engine section of the kit had a gap that was wider than the studio model. This had me concerned with any modification to decrease that gap because adjusting the width of these sections would certainly affect how the engine attached to the rest of the model, since the upper and lower halves at the attachment point had to remain the same. This was the most intense mod of the whole thing up till this point, but it ended up alright, as I hope y'all will agree?

Anyhow, these same kits as before needed to be replicated again as this whole engine section is covered in ROCO tank kits.
A 1/144 British Centurion got chunked into the mix here as well.

Here's the studio look I want again:

As I said, this took quite a bit of time to complete, but it is what it ended up as is:

Compared to the studio gap:

Now, that about catches this up to where I'm at. I hope this is looking better?

Man, when Bruce sees this he'll be getting a heart attack. What a show!

He can't miss it, I'll leave it right here for him. He'll trip over it.

WOW! Your build is truly amazing! Add lighting and this could be in a sci fi show or movie!

Thank you! Yes, I have fibre-optic material waiting in the wings already, just need to get it a little further along. It'll need to be able to be opened if I ever need to get back in there and I need it closer to completed before I can figure out where any opening seams will be.

Then the drillin' starts.
