While awaiting replacement wing parts for the Rufe floatplane, I decided to jump on this kit....
Cockpit done....
Intake...
Fins on sidewinder, main gear doors attachments, main wheel well...

Yeah... lots of tiny fiddly bits to glue on fuselage too. Not looking forward to that.
Not to mention masking for the light grey and dark grey on upper fuselage behind the canopy.

Masked for semi-gloss black on tail area is simple to do. However.... Medium Grey area is a complex spot to mask around where the decals will go. See painting guide on instruction guide, Letter O for medium Grey.
I made 3 copies of the decal sheet and cut out the stripings for template placements. Tonight, I measured at least several times and marked where it needs to masked for paint. It doesn't hurt to have it slightly larger for decals to cover it once applied.
I'm happy with the results and am confident it will work in my favor once the decals are laid down.
