Vintage kits..

Post by BlackSheep214 »

found at an antique mall. Stopped at The Electic Chic Antique Mall this afternoon. A couple kits still for sale since the last time I went there.

Kit is unsealed and sprues still in its factory bags. Decals are so-so. $35

Vintage Revell kit. Still in its original sealed wrap. $20. I had been debating on grabbing this one since the last couple times I went to this place.

Saw this at another section of the store I never knew was there. Saw this one...

$30.

Some good stuff.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I built that 251 kit in its’ later Revell boxing many years ago. Had that Havoc kit when I was an elementary school boy a LONG time ago… that box art has always stayed in my mind.

Well, I am moving more and more, to them VEE-hickles. . . I am about done with aircraft for now. Two builds, two canopies cracked or broken - both just trying t9o get some tape on them. Armor, trucks, boats all present their own chanllenges, though.

It's a great feeling finding old kits like that. It's like your the styrene version of Indiana Jones
Big Joe: 'You just keep those Tigers busy and we'll take care of the rest.'
Oddball: 'The only way I got to keep them Tigers busy is to let them shoot holes in me...'
