Hasegawa 1/72 X-29

Post by Medicman71 »

I went through the stash the other day and forgot that I had this one. I went ahead and started it since I haven't had time to paint everything else on the bench due to work, hurricane and other stuff. Not too bad of a kit and not a lot of parts.

That's okay, Mike. It will just fly as fast in reverse as forward!

One problem with white plastic, you can't see what you're doing as far as sanding and rescribing. I'll need to prime it so I can see it all.

Wow. I haven't updated this one. I've gotten all the seams taken care of, at least I think so. Added the cockpit decals and attached the front windscreen. The decals are super fragile and I'm worried about the fuselage ones.

Nice!

The instrument panel looks really good now, honestly I thought it was a PE part, until I read that it's a decal!
Even so, looks good!

Wow, have not seen this kit/aircraft since it was on the cover of FSM decades ago. Sure is an interesting looking bird!

Thanks guys! I'm going to coat the decals with some Microscale Liquid Decal Film since I'm worried that they're to brittle.
