Tamiya 1/35 Panther

Post by LyleW »

I had, at one time, harbored thoughts of doing the Panther and Pershing from the Cologne tank battle detailed in "Spearhead. I have since decided That is a foolish decision for many reasons. Mostly, I don't have the hands and patience anymore. So, just building this for fun.

I actually broke out the airbrush, a Gaahleri. I love the pistol grip. But, jeez Louise, these tanks have a crap load of wheels....

decided to go ahead and do some of the camo. The yellow is a combination of Tamiya Desert Yellow, oversprayed with some Tamiya TS-3 Dark Yellow. I used Mission Models RotBraun RAL 8017 and Tamiya Olive Green.

Double D's all around! nice on the hands. Now, if I can get my stale, old, crusty brain around installing the road wheels.....

Lyle, I do believe you and I are on the same page with this Panther of yours; aren't these about the same colors? :hmm:

Looks like it. Like Henry Ford may have said said, “Any color(s) you want, as long as it is Desert Yellow, Rot Braun and dark Olive!”
