I've been working on Academy's M1151 Humvee. Pretty good kit actually. The fit is great. Got a lot of it built up, just need to paint the interior next. Most of the big parts are not glued together yet for ease of painting. Also if anyone knows what the interior color is, it would be really helpful.

Here’s some good reference for you

As far as interior color goes, two choices: if the vehicle left the factory in NATO tri color scheme, it should have the green interior; if it was produced in CARC Sand scheme, a sand interior.
Seat cushions are Olive green, and any matting, padding should be in a similar Olive green, but not exact match in color.

Looks like a fun project. Looking forward to what you figure out interior wise. I still have my monster 1/16 MRAP under my bench. What are you planning exterior wise?

I like how you can move between subjects. I think that’s a great way to keep ideas fresh and I need to try it. I’m so straight ahead with everything, and then I get a little bored and start to lose interest and then that boredom increases and I start looking for the next one, which is a terrible way to approach what we do. What you’ve shown so far looks really good. Are you planning to weather it, or leave it factory fresh?

Thanks Stik! That helps. I see some that are sand, green and black on the inside. As far as the outside, I have some camo net and some stowage but not sure what to add to it.

I'm horrible about starting things and then losing interest or it waits forever to get painted so I start on something else. I really need to get things finished first before going on to something else.

Then we share this issue, what Kari calls “loss of mojo,” which for me comes when I’m just spinning my wheels on something that usually doesn’t matter in the end. You could have fooled me with your Gungam production though! Keep cranking out those beauties!

Stowage all depends on the situation/mission. Is it a day long patrol or a week long patrol, or a campaign drive from a base camp/assembly area to a distant objective? On shorter duration patrols, it will be mission gear, smaller patrol or assault packs, personal weapons, ammunition, rations, water cans and bottles, cooler(s) etc. On a long drive campaign it will be all that and more. Duffel bags, extras rations, ammo, water, etc. Full large packs, long term comfort items the crew might have such as cots. Extra radio gear and batteries. Assorted heavy weapons.
