Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

Armin,
She looks great. You'll get it nailed down, no worries

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Hi Armin,Von Hepp wrote:(...) but now, my references are not so good, must I add the top und bottom lines (green arrows) along the fuselage?
I let the German Wikipedia speak to answer your question.
I try to translate it analogously:wikipedia.de - Bf 109 wrote: Ein gutes Beispiel hierfür ist der aus zwei selbsttragenden Halbschalen aufgebaute, mit Längsprofilen versteifte Hinterrumpf, der bei geringem Gewicht eine hohe Festigkeit aufwies.
The rear fuselage was a semi-monocoque construction, stiffened by longitudinal. It showed high stability combined with low weight.
When the sun of culture hangs low even dwarfs throw shadows.

Yes, there are panel lines along the top and bottom(green arrows).
I love this feature, as it means minimal sanding.
I make that panel line before gluing the halves together, by scraping a bevel into the mating surfaces. Just a couple light scrapes is all it takes...doesn't hurt to fit the halves together to check progress...it's easy to go too far!
I glue along the inner edge, so the glue doesn't ooze out into the panel line.
This is after only a minimal sanding to even up the halves.

I love that idea! Never would have thought of it. Thanks.

It works anywhere that pieces come together on a panel line. I use it quite a bit!LyleW wrote:I love that idea! Never would have thought of it. Thanks.

Thanks to Mostrich for the information
and a great Thank You to Fermis - this is really a great idea - now, for me, too late for this kit
But, I think sometimes the next Messerschmitt will profit with this technique.
