Re: gino's room
here is my other hobby,
I played in a rock and roll band for over twenty five years.
one of the reasons I stopped modeling for many years.
I retired from playing out three years ago after the bass player passed away.
he was my best bud for thirty five years and it really hurt when he passed away.
now I just noodle around in my room sometimes but not much.

Re: gino's room
yes stuart the 262 is my favorite.
the only reason I chose to build a 1/32 aircraft.
due to always having space limitations I stuck with 1/72 .

I see some familiar kits in that stash. I am currently working on the MPM XP-47H.

And I have build the SH P.212
http://www.spamodeler.com/forum/viewtop ... =212#p2625
But what is that old red box MPM kit beneath?

Re: gino's room
it's called the lonestar strat. 1998 usa model. it was hot-rodded at the factory with a billy gibbons pearly gates plus humbucker and twoJimD wrote:Plastic models and Stratocasters? A man after my own heart. I have that exact Texas Fat Strat in your second photo on the left BTW....perhaps yours is the later version that they renamed (name escapes me).
I did the band thing for several years after high school and through college myself. Mostly now I'm like you...just noodling and recording over tracks though I haven't touched a guitar in about six months. Maybe I should change that.
srv single coils. it's my baby and I used mostly for playing out. I was skeptical of having a humbucker in a strat but found it to be very versatile
it gave me the heavy rock sound and the quack when I needed it . great guitar. all my other strats are Mexican, people say there isn't much difference except double the price. well I'm here to tell ya , big difference . the quality is light years ahead of the mexi.

very cool ,JimD wrote:You're right. Thats the exact one I have. It was changed to the Texas Fat after it was called the Lonestar...and I think they dumbed the Pearly Gates for a regular Humbucker? I don't remember...my serial number is calling mine a 99 It was a wedding gift actually.
