The Duke's Latest Finished Model

Post by Duke Maddog »

Hello everyone! I finally finished another model.

This is my Finemolds 1/72 scale Y-wing fighter:

The final work was a wash and then a dullcoat, followed by some additional weathering with the airbrush. You may notice that the R-2 unit is missing. It's somewhere in the Hobby Room, but for now, this is done. After all, the R-2, unit would have been removed after a flight anyway. I'll get it in there soon.

Thanks all for looking in and for all the supportive comments.

Ahhhhh, my favorite ship from Star Wars! Very nice work my freind.... Are you going to bring it to January IPMS?

Thanks guys! Yes, Carlos, you'll see this Y-wing, the Topol, a truck; possibly sporting a payload of FT-17 tank, a couple artillery pieces, and possibly a couple buses and a British Staff car at the next IPMS meeting. Oh, and my Theme Build of a 1/32 scale F-5E Tigershark. Should be an exciting meeting!

Thanks Tigrazor! I did try to make this as close to the movies as possible. I really did have a blast with this model.
