Re: John Eaton has passed away
Thank you all for your kind messages. Many people have asked if his website will stay up and yes I renewed the hosting through 2028. I wrote his obituary yesterday and will repost it here, I think some of you will really like reading it and I tried to incorporate some of your kind words here about h...

John Eaton has passed away
Hello this is June Marshall, John Eaton's daughter. I wanted to let you all know that he passed away peacefully yesterday after a valiant fight against cancer. He was surrounded with love by his family and grandchildren who adored him. He was our rock, and he was one of a kind. He expressed that he ...

Re: Airfix 1/72 B-24J (Yea, the old one)
Agreed Carlos, I'm just crap at cutting them out :bag: I cut around the edges with small scissors leaving a generous bit of width wide of the intended edge, and do the final shaping with a slow turning dremel grinding tool. Just enough speed so the plastic melts a bit. A trick I learned shaping and...

ESCI/AMT 1/48 AD-4W AEW Skyraider
Progress on an AD-4W over the last week. It is turning out to be a fairly simple build, since I am not going to try to stuff any resin and PE in to it. The fuselage has insert panels where the side dive brakes are on a standard AD and those were fit after installing the bubble windows. The area behi...

Re: Dodge 3/4 Ton WC-51
I built the Peerless Max WC-62 a long time ago. It was done like one we had when I was a flea and I used to love driving it around hauling water to the drilling rigs.

I suspect I didn't get the interior parts aligned quite right. Shaky hands.

Re: Hasegawa 1/48 C6N1
I photographed all the open canopy parts from multiple angles and with a ruler in the picture. The pictures were imported into Autocad where they were resized. The areas to be masked were drawn over the photos and a dxf file from that work was used to cut the masks using a Silhouette Cameo Vinyl Cut...

Re: Hasegawa 1/72 SBD-5 Dauntless Build
Hi John, I saw that TD interior set on ebay. How would you rate it? I am horrible with resin so if it's not a great fit, it's not for me :hmm: It was average to work with. Here is my build log, the page with my comments on it. The Hasegawa interior is very basic and quite visible even with a closed...
