Gentlemen, good afternoon! Got an update for you—

I have painted the engine, assembled it, and treated it with a dark brown wash. Have a look at the results:





I’m pretty happy with how this is coming out so far.

My lead wire arrived in the mail on a Friday, so I’ll be starting the wiring real soon. Very much looking forward to that, I’m excited!

I have been very carefully wiring this little guy up in spare moments here and there this week. Here’s the progress:



I like this fly-tying wire quite a lot and I’m glad I took Joh ‘s advice and tried it. It’s very small, nicely malleable, but more obedient than the wire I get from gutted coaxial cables.

I’ll be finishing this job up over the course of the next couple of days.
