Well now THAT would make building this easy! I love it!
Oh the fun one can have in a tank!

What gets me with that photo is that the drive has got hie head out of his hatch... Perhaps he fancied a mud-pack facial?
A great reason for doing a build Mark and I'm sorry to hear about your friends. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

Thanks Stuart! Yeah, in that pic, I don't think they realized how deep that was going to be. The TC's looking down to see if he's okay gives me that impression. That's probably why the driver got soaked.
More small progress made, gonna hopefully move more on this soon.

Re: The Duke's Patton Group Build Patton and Tribute Build
I know I'm very late, but here's my latest progress on my M-48 Patton. I don't remember what I'd posted before so here's the most recent work I did.
I think I left off with this pic of the Patton where the main hull and turrets were built up:
Next I added the fenders and the turret bustle rack:
Next I built the TC's cupola shown here dry-fit to the turret:
Finally, I added the mantlet cover and the main gun to this. The mantlet is made from the DS Styrene so it is flexible, allowing the gun to move:
I'm calling this puppy ready for paint.

Duke! Duke! Duke!
Nice to see this one moves forward! I read through the thread several times to get it straight in my head that you were building this in large scale? How’s that feel for you since you’re primarily a 1/72 expert?
