Those Quintas look really nice!
As well as the cockpit also, very nice.

I use Tamiyas Extra Thin to fix the canopy. One of those methods that sometimes can be a controversial topic and can result in a lot of opinions back and forth, for and against.
But I’m happy using it and so far, knock knock on the wood, no negative consequences, like fogged canopy glass or so.

Gary, it looks like we are having a "Save the Hobbycaft Kit" group build :bored: I like the cockpit, and I hope that the Hobbycraft canopy is one of their better ones.

Thanks Kari! Yes, the Quinta decals are really nice; I expect to use them again. I've ordered a small bottle of Revell Contacta Clear to try on the suggestion of a friend on another forum. I'll try that and the Tamiya if I can, and report back!

Thanks John! This is my third Hobbycraft kit and won't be the last. In fact, I have the HC La-7 lined up now. I hope that canopy doesn't get me in a storm.

Sometimes, I just do stuff that I can't believe (later). I was getting all the small bits out of the tray just an hour ago and what should I find, still attached to a bit of sprue? Why the correct rear section of the dust filter! Good ol' Hobbycraft had provided it after all and I was too blind, or dumb, to see it before I spent time scratching out one that didn't look nearly as good as the kit part. D'oh... :headbang:

I’ve also been working on this one trying to get it over the finish line by end of the year… getting close…

Wash into all the panel lines

Jeeez, that 3-color camo is absolutely a master piece of work!

And the panellines are very nicely highlighted as well!
