That is pretty cool! I know you will win this battle!

Oh I do like that MB5. That’s one that I need to learn more about. :hmm:

Aside from resuming work on my Zero to get it over the finish line this week, I’ve also been working on this while paint or glue is drying. I don’t know if you guys remember when I picked this up awhile back, a 1/48 IJN Carrier deck section base, but I’ve been working on painting it. Instead of a simple monotone wood color, I’ve been painting individual planks with various similar shades of tan or wood to give a nice multi tone look. It is a bit time consuming being hand brushed, but I’m really starting to like the effect.

I still have a bit more to do, then washes and weathering….

Thanks Stuart and Kari. Today I painted a few more planks in a couple more tans, then I painted the tie down points in the wooden sections.

I still need to add the deck striping, some washes, and some final weathering.

Well, today I have wrapped up my Zero build. Another longtime sideliner completed!

Farewell last project of 2021!

I’ll get a proper walkaround batch of photos up in the finished area tomorrow…

This is a great Zero ! I just like the camo!

I like the green camo so much more than the "Pearl Harbour attack" - camo that I did.
So yes, this will be my rolemodel for my 2nd Zero in 2022 !

Thank you Kari. I love how your early war overall gray Zero turned out. Not sure what scheme I’ll do for my next Zero. Overall gray, mottled green over the gray, or another late war soled green over gray…. Decisions, decisions… :hmm:
