So, the lack of pigments wouldn't make it yellow on clear colors? I assumed it does.
I don't have clear green in my paint stash. Only Clear blue, red and orange.

nope. I think it turned out pretty decent. Decided to just brush paint it, so I forgot how tough that was! A couple of coats, and I'm happy enough. Hey, the wheel wells are already shaded....
This concoction started at 20 drops Clear Blue, 20 drops Clear Green and 3-4 drops of Smoke. I added more of the Clear Blue to my liking.

No, the lack of pigments won’t turn it into yellow. All colors are based off of the three primary colors in various combinations, red, yellow, and blue. Red + Yellow = Orange. Red + Blue = Purple. Blue + Yellow = Green. Mixing all three together gives you something of brown, depending upon proportions. Primary colors are like prime numbers in math, they do not reduce. Of course there are variations within the pigments available for primary colors.BlackSheep214 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 7:21 am So, the lack of pigments wouldn't make it yellow on clear colors? Experiment a bit with the clear colors that you have. Take a look at a color wheel to see what color combinations make for various combinations. For example, yellow and black can make either olive drab or interior green, depending upon the proportions or the yellow pigment shade.
I’d also suggest to get some clear yellow for your paint stash. At the very least, you can use it on the ID lights often found on WWII US aircraft on the belly or wing bottom.
Lyle, your home brew aotake looks good.
