1/48 Italeri Macci MC.205 Veltro

Post by keavdog »

My first Italian bird. They are really beautiful airplanes - like everything Italian (including my wife :giggles: )
Looking at scalemates this was originally a Hasegawa kit. Fantastic model that went together really well.

I botched a bit at the end but overall super fun kit

Very nice build, I like the oily and dirty underside!

Excellent finish. How did you do the smoke ring camouflage?

Great camo work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

What a sharp looking build! What paints did you use for the camo colors?

Thanks all. The paints are MRP. They make the specific Italian colors - Nocciola on top and Grigio Azzurro on bottom. The interior and wheel wells are a duck egg green as I couldn't find exactly what Italian interior colors were.

Now for the confession.... the smoke rings are no less than 100+ decals

Great looking Veltro, John! I think the Italian fighters look really nice too. I've got the 1/32 Italeri Folgore in the queue and I hope Italeri follows up with a Veltro.
