One Ki off the bench, another Ki back on the bench. Started this 1/72 Tamiya Ki-61 for a GB last year. Fabulous kit, but just lost steam as I really have no interest in this aircraft type... Just want a Ki-61 in my WW2 J-aircraft collection. I am brush painting the NFM with Tamiya LP flat aluminum. It's going to take more than 1 coat to get rid of most of the streaking; however, I am trying to keep the streaking in one direction, hoping it will pass for the grain on rolled aluminum sheet...

Okay, this is a resin kit? Go get 'em! You are going to do a great job. As your momma said, "wear protection"!

Yes, gentlemen, it's all resin. And as I understand, a face mask is necessary when sanding that stuff, is that correct?

Here's some information on the '36 Type C. It was quite the beast in its day with top speeds over 200 mph.
