I've always liked the lines of CV-240/340/440 sleek but brutish

Me too !

When I was a kid, I flew a few times a Convair CV-440 by Finnair. Can remember very well the massive sound of the two P&W R-2800 engines and the rather big windows (at least from childs point of view). Those were the days!

This just arrived in the mail. What a beautiful kit. Kicking myself for not ordering 2 or 3. Oh well, now I am even more excited to see their F-4B and finally add some Marine mud movers to my shelf!

Also go this nice sheet of Tomcat markings. This is a rare decal sheet where I can see myself building most of the markings offered, but bottom 3 are my favorites.

Some really cool schemes. My choice would be the Mass Air Guard

Exactly what I'm thinking Johnny. I like the detail on the nacelles. Also like the medical bird.

BTW the kit comes with both the blunt nose and pointy nose - so variations coming I think
Thanks,
John

USAF Heritage Flight at Luke AFB last year… with an A-10 of course

The P-51 and A-10 are screaming, but the F-35 is just above stall speed :giggles:
