The Duke's Vehicles Completed in April

Post by Duke Maddog »

As I haven't ever had time this past month to post what I have completed during April, here is the complete Pass in Review for all vehicles completed last month. Naturally, they are all in 1/72 scale:

First, a German twin 128mm AA cannon, this is a Modelcollect gun that came in the Austratt gun turret fortification:

That was the only decent pic I have of that gun.

Another artillery piece, this is the PST Russian 120mm M-30 Howitzer:

I've since fixed that floating trailer arm....

Here is the PST Zis-42 halftrack that pulls the above gun:

Next is my first ever German Landwasserschlepper from Hobby Boss:

That's right, I've never had one of these in my collection before now. Speaking of vehicles I've never had in my collection, this next one is my first ever German Maultier from IBG:

This next German vehicle is the ancient ESCI German Opel Ambulance. I decided to do this one as a truck that had the bed replaced with the ambulance cabin, this the difference in paint:

This next one is another IBG kit; this is the Italian Lancer 3Ro cargo truck:

Next we have the Dragon British LRDG truck, which I completed with the 20mm cannon on back when I found the missing tree. I then moved the machine gun up to a different location:

This next one is another ancient ESCI kit that is one of my ultimate shelf queens finally completed. This is my Churchill started when I was nine, and finally finished with fictitious Canadian markings since I could not find a set of markings for an actual Canadian tank. It's done and it's Canadian; at least for all intents and purposes in my collection:

These next models are very limited edition; very short run multi-media kits that I finally decided they needed to be built. I bought these 25+ years ago and they've been sitting in the stash for far too long. Time to get them finished. First is the ZZ-Models Russian PRV-10 Radar system trailer:

Again it's not accurate as most of the resin parts would not come off the pour blocks so plastic substitutes were used. It's done! That's all I can say

This next ZZ-Models kit is the Russian P-15 Radar system. The dishes rotate and they have the mesh they are supposed to have:

Again, proof they turn:

Finally the last model I completed in April is this Dragon M142 HIMARS for my Marine Corps. This model in some ways is better than the Foreart kit, in that provision was made so the launcher could elevate. Granted I had to drill out the windows and add an interior with spare parts, but this one is done so far and the Foreart kit is not....yet:

And that completes April's Pass in Review. I can only hope I can do as well in May. Thank you all for looking in, comments are welcome.
