You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Just don’t have the mojo to resume 3 auto kits at this time. My motivation has been building aircrafts as of late.

After the new year sounds reasonable to me

What about an adversary group build. Maybe it runs a bit longer since you'd need to build two kits. F-4 vs Mig 17 etc. What is inspiring me is I'm getting a 1/48 Fine Molds A5M4 Claude for xmas. I was doing a bit of reading and found this review of the Claude on modeling madness
"The aircraft entered service in early 1937, soon seeing action in pitched aerial battles at the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War, including air-to-air battles with the Republic of China Air Force's Boeing P-26C Model 281 "Peashooters" in what was the world's first-ever aerial dogfighting and kills between monoplane fighters built of mostly metal."
And, of course, now I want a 1/48 Peashooter or an I-16 in Chinese color/markings. Which lead me here.
You could do planes of course, tanks, ships, race cars even figures. I've got a 1/144 F-14 and a 1/72 su-22 to do a forced perspective gulf of sidra incident inflight dio that would be perfect.
Anyhow - thought I'd throw that out there to chew on.

I'm in! But I'd need at least 6 months to finish two aircraft, lol! Maybe it should be "The Duellists" like the film by Ridley Scott?

Oh I'm thinking 18 months. The Duelists is one of my favorites. I've watched it at least a dozen times.
Thanks,

I like the concept! I’ve had some pairings of this sort in my head for quite some time, aircraft and armor, but haven’t kicked any off yet. Hell, Masterbox even makes some figure sets of this sort….

I'm interested, if I can finish some of these other builds.

John, the film is incredible as is the story it’s based on. I can remember just the qualities of light in that film. Scott was coming off the BBC art director/photographer days and just killing the visuals.
Carlos, I like the idea of figures, dioramas, too! That would open the group build up to all sorts of modelers!

I'm no film student but the cinematography was amazing. And a brutal and disturbing story of obsession hidden in honor.
Thanks,
