The Duke's Spaceport Launches the Falcon

Post by Duke Maddog »

After a good long time, my spaceport has finally launched another Sci-Fi starship. Another? you ask. Yes, I also completed a Star Wars Y-wing, an Imperial Star Destroyer, an Eagle I transporter from Space 1999, and the Babylon 5 space station.

This is my latest ship to be launched from here, the Finemolds 1/72 scale Han Solo's Millennium Falcon:

I didn't want to over grunge it so much, but I did want to show it as used and a bit of abused. Kinda "rode hard and put away wet" type of thing. I don't know how well I succeeded but I'm happy with this result so far. The crew seems to be happy enough to board, with a bit of persuasion from the Empire:

It's hard to see them, but Chewie and C-3PO are inside waiting for everyone to board:

Okay, it's off to the stars for me for awhile. Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Love it! I need to find the vintage Millennium Falcon I did as a young teen.

Well done Mark - that looks excellent!

It must be a big beast in 1/72?

Thank you Tom! I'd love to see your Falcon!

Thank you Stuart! Yes, it's a big one: she measures around 20 inches (50cm) by 11 inches (27.9cm)

Thank you Kari!

Thank you Lyle! Yes she is!

Thank you Gary! I'm very happy with the way it looks.

Very cool Duke! Hope you get the right coordinates from the nav computer!
