The Duke Finishes Two Vehicles in October

Post by Duke Maddog »

These two finished models also represent history being made and a milestone achieved. These two are numbers 999 and 1000 in my small scale vehicle collection.

Number 999, Takom 1/72 scale C-911 HET tank transporter:

Number 1000, Hasegawa 1/72 scale JGSDF Rosenbauer 6x6 Panther Fire Truck/Crash Tender:

And now my journey to 1000 small scale vehicles is complete, and soon I hope to have them all set up to display and shoot pics. That announcement will be made when plans are finalized, please pray I find a place that is willing to let me set up and display for longer than a few days.

Thank you all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Thank you Carlos! LOL! It would be great if that "prize" was a series of 1/72 scale vehicle kits I hadn't built so I would have a head start on getting to my next milestone! :lashed: :giggles:

Seriously, thank you very much for the support! Hopefully in January, you'll be able to make the trip to see all these in person!

That's awesome Mark - congratulations on reaching what is a mind-boggling and totally insane collection. A. where on earth do you keep them all? B. How long would it take you to set them up?

Both of these are excellent btw, love both the subjects.

Now on with the next 1000? :yikes:

Thank you Stuart! It is pretty mind-boggling for sure, especially when you consider that I built all of them myself.

A. Right now all except the most recent ones sit in tubs on my shelves. I have no display space to set them out. The rest will go in those same tubs after I finish with the display.

B. I'm figuring probably eight hours, +/- to set everything up. That's mostly because I'd be taking pictures of each army group in between.

Thank you again Stuart, I think I'll see if I can make another 200 first, then we'll see. A lot of it depends on how many more injection molded kits get released of subjects I haven't built yet....
